We were moving from Southampton to East Devon having been in the same place for 14 years. We'd never used a removals company before and, with an upright piano and plenty of musical instruments to shift, I'll admit to a little nervousness. With that in mind, I can't praise 1st Choice enough. The video survey was thorough and professional, communication was fantastic... and on the day, Tom and Steve were fantastic - they made the tricky part (the piano) look easy at either end, we're just the sort of good natured helpful chaps you'd want to have around during a home move, and... I've left it until we've been through every box before writing this... no breakages at all!

We contracted for the full service, with 1st Choice, including the packing service. 1st Choice, led by their team leader Steve,were very professional throughout. They arrived the day prior to the move to do the packing and start the move. They stayed locally overnight to complete the loading of the lorry, on the moving day.The move into our new property, at the other end was carried out smoothly and efficiently, with no problems, the Company providing extra men to complete the move, in a timely manner. The after move service was also first class, collecting the unpacked boxes as soon as requested.

A great team, and outstanding service!

We moved with very little notice, and 1st Choice were great at every stage. The team were friendly and professional, and took excellent care of our belongings. They used door covers, stair covers and mats in all the hallways. They were careful to check with us which items went in which room. Although we did not use the packing service, I have every faith that they would have done a great job with that too.

We could not have been happier with 1st Choice, and would 100% recommend their services. We would definitely use them again. Thank you so much for making our moving day NOT stressful!

"I had a fantastic experience from start to finish! I needed a quote quickly and received one the same day (which included picking up my belongings from two locations), the price was reasonable and the booking process very quick. Rob and his colleague arrived on time, protected the doors and carpets before they started loading the van, double checked that my insurance was in place before touching a thing, listened to my instructions and preferences, and we’re super careful with all of my belongings from start to finish. We were moving back from Dorset to Kent.

The surveyor was very professional and assessed what we had, I also felt he’d listened to me; We’d moved out of a two bed flat into a 4 bed house when they started talking about another lockdown, although the house was big it was sparsely filled. The other surveyors seemed to see 4 bed and ignore everything else.

The move took place over 2 days: day 1 Steve and Logan packed our house up. Day 2 they unloaded at our new location. Great guys, very polite professional and fun, they took the edge off the stress and we both felt they were in control.

They protected every surface, door protectors, floor protectors, wraps for our goods, another level from anyone I’d seen before.

We had 3 quotes, 1 from a company we’d used before, that were a fraction as good as good as these guys.

I’d highly recommend, and Steve and Logan kicked it out of the park for us. If this company works near our next move they will be my ONLY choice.

Dealt with a delay in getting into the property professionally and calmly. The team also went the extra mile to help protect the carpets & doors in both the property I was moving into as well as out. Thick padded covers went on the doors, mats on the main thoroughfares and plastic up the stairs.

Tom/Steve & Logan who moved us, we’re the most professional, respectful and friendly team. We felt as though we’d known them for years. We had what for these guys was a workaday move in our local area. We chose to use the full pack service. Everything went 100% to time and plan, the crew of 5 were great, courteous yet amusing and nothing too much trouble. No damage of breakages.

I have recently moved and used First Choice Removals. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They were good value, quick, efficient and extremely friendly. They came back and collected the boxes very quickly too which was great. A great service, thank you.

Moving can be a stressful time but the guys from 1st Choice took that away. They made me laugh throughout the move and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst at this point I never want to move again.

The next day they were with us bright and early finished packing the essentials then loaded. There were 3 men to help. All really professional. Having had multiple quotes for removals 1st Choice were by fair the best on service and provided a reasonable price. They were quick to respond to queries about available dates, packing and the process in the run up to our move. On the day of packing the guys arrived and were very efficient, packing literally anything not stuck down! On the day of the move they had us ready to go nice and early so we weren’t being pushed out by the agent etc and had the lorry unpacked quickly. Having since unpacked the whole house (minus three boxes) since moving we’ve not found a single item broken - very impressive! Overall the whole are super friendly and very professional, can’t fault them in the slightest and would recommend everyone gets a quote and uses 1st Choice Removals - the best and easiest parts of our whole move involved 1st Choice Removals!

We moved 6 months ago with another company, the worst experience ever. Having been recommended 1st Choice Removals, we thought we would try them as we needed to use someone. I was concerned about my cats being stressed! No need. What a delight they were. Chris and Joe arrived promptly at 8am and Chris walked me through the house and emptied a bedroom I could use for the cats and took about 2 hours to empty the house of furniture/boxes. They moved everything to the new house and ensured all the furniture was reassembled and placed in the correct room. I cannot praise these people highly enough.

The team Chris Joe and Theo) arrived on time. Furniture was loaded quickly and safely. They worked hard and nothing was too much trouble. Chris even went back to Gosport to pick up a garden item we’d left behind. They were polite, good humoured and efficient from start to finish. We used this company for our last minute move and so pleased we did. From start to finish the team was fantastic. They all worked like trojans and were understanding and patient with my lack of experience (first move). My mother had Rob from 1st choice over to pack her home up prior to removal day. Rob was amazing, calm and attentive, polite and professional! A pleasure, in what was an emotional day. To be honest, everyone we have dealt with at 1st Choice has been delightful, highly recommended!

Returnable boxes delivered in plenty of time. Payment sent day before move date. Day of move. I used this company to move from London to Bournemouth. Could not have been better. Professional. Polite. Good humoured. Made my move so much easier than I thought it was going to be. Would highly recommend them.

I was told that moving day would be one of the most stressful days of your life but these guys made everything really simple. We opted for the packing service which was really efficient and on moving day itself we really didn’t have too much to do as these guys covered all bases. If we ever have to move again, we would use 1st Choice.
